Moon Shine On was one of the last songs I had recorded in Lo-Fi definition, and is a personal favorite, as well as a very personal song. I got my sister Shannon Robinson to do backup vocals. She can be heard anytime the lyrics "Why, you only let the moon shine on?" is heard.
lyrics
You can't tell me, why? you only the moon shine on?
and I know, I wanna know, I wanna know, I wanna know
We said "ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah"
Why? you only let the moon shine on ?
Everyone is getting in the way,
and everything is harder to maintain,
So don't you wish that you could have a dream,
the moon was shining all around your feet,
you looked up and they looked so damn complete,
she said "im waiting for you all to fall asleep"
and you say that you are positively sure!
no matter what you'll always be my world,
and as time goes by, you might still be afraid,
but just wait, just wait
you can't tell me, why you only let the moon shine on
